Artificial intelligence is reshaping patient care at one of the region’s top medical centres.
King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre (KFSHRC) in Riyadh has reported a significant reduction in emergency. The hospital’s Capacity Command Center, equipped with real-time analytics and a locally built colour-coded alert system, has been instrumental in streamlining admissions, discharges, and patient transfers.
The system enables clinical teams to monitor pressure points from admission to discharge, flag bottlenecks instantly, and intervene early.
These efforts have produced measurable gains.
Emergency room congestion fell by 19 percent, while average patient length of stay dropped by 14 percent.
The improvements translated into quicker recovery, better bed availability, and a smoother patient journey overall.
