HRH Crown Prince Attends Housing Unit Distribution Ceremony for BDF Members

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and Prime Minister, attended a housing unit distribution ceremony for members of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) in Wadi Al-Sail (Phase Two) and Galali. The ceremony was held under his patronage as part of the celebrations marking the 57th anniversary of the BDF’s establishment.

During the event, HRH the Crown Prince highlighted the BDF’s advanced levels of combat readiness, attributing this progress to the steadfast support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces. He emphasised that the King’s leadership has been instrumental in the ongoing development and modernisation of the military and defense sectors, enabling BDF personnel to carry out their duties effectively in alignment with Bahrain’s national development goals.

HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad also underscored the BDF’s role, alongside its allies, in strengthening regional security and stability. He noted that the efforts of the BDF are widely recognised and appreciated, reinforcing Bahrain’s commitment to international security and peace.

Expressing his appreciation for the BDF and its personnel, HRH the Crown Prince extended his congratulations on the 57th anniversary of the force’s establishment. He also reviewed a model of the newly distributed housing units in Wadi Al-Sail (Phase Two) and congratulated the recipients, acknowledging the significance of this initiative in enhancing the well-being of military personnel.

His Royal Highness commended those involved in the construction of the housing units, recognising their dedication in delivering this milestone as part of an integrated series of service projects for BDF members. He noted that this initiative is part of a broader strategy aimed at achieving sustainable development in Bahrain, in line with the directives of HM the King to ensure a high quality of life for all citizens.

HRH the Crown Prince also acknowledged the contributions of Team Bahrain in providing innovative housing solutions, emphasising that their efforts are instrumental in the success of national development projects. He praised the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning, relevant government agencies, and private sector partners for their collaboration in advancing housing services for Bahraini citizens. He concluded by urging all stakeholders to redouble their efforts in achieving Bahrain’s housing aspirations.

The ceremony was attended by several high-ranking officials, including His Highness General Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa, Commander of the National Guard; His Highness Lieutenant-General Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor and Commander of the Royal Guard; and His Highness Staff Commander Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa. Also present were senior officials from the BDF, the Ministry of Interior, and the National Guard.

Upon arrival at the ceremony site in Wadi Al-Sail, HRH the Crown Prince was received by His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdullah bin Hassan Al Nuaimi, Minister of Defence Affairs; His Excellency Lieutenant-General Theyab bin Saqr Al-Nuaimi, BDF Chief of Staff; and other senior officers.

The event reaffirmed Bahrain’s commitment to enhancing the living conditions of its military personnel while advancing national development objectives in alignment with the vision of HM the King.
