Two jailed for stealing delivery bikes

The High Criminal Court has issued jail terms against two persons accused in connection with two separate delivery bike robbery cases.

The first accused was held guilty for stealing a motorcycle belonging to Pizza Hut in Bilad Al Qadeem and was handed down three years behind bars.

The other allegedly stole a KFC delivery bike and was sentenced to five years in prison.

The first accused reportedly used a stolen phone to make a fake delivery order from Pizza Hut.

He then hid in a place, along with an unidentified man to pounce on the delivery boy when he arrives.

They reportedly stole the bike by threatening the delivery boy with a knife. 

He then allegedly removed its register plates, but later met with an accident while riding it.

Police discovered that the bike was stolen, and the accused confessed to stealing it.

In the second case, the accused reportedly attacked the KFC delivery boy while he was on duty in Buri.

The accused had an accomplice who was referred to the juvenile court as he was below 15 years of age.

The pair was captured while when they took the bike to a repair shop, according to court files.
