Taawon’s poll promise: A data centre for BCCI

ManamaEstablishing a ‘‘data centre’ for entrepreneurs is one of the projects members of Taawon wants to set up if elected to the BCCI board, the group said in a statement yesterday.

Launching a data centre that will support start-ups and businesses will be one of the priorities of Taawon if they make it to the BCCI board, the group stated yesterday.

“Taawon aims to establish a data centre for relevant information that concerns entrepreneurs and provides them with insight regarding future decisions. This centre will provide periodical statistics and reports that will clarify future paths and attract investors by giving an insider view on the Bahraini economy,” the group said.

The members of the group are Sayed Saeed Al Alawi, Hameed Al Hili, Abdullah Madan, Ghalib Madan, Abbas Al Jamri, Ali Al Halwachi and Fadhel Suleebi. The group is headed by Hameed Al Hili and the spokesperson was announced to be Ali Al Halwachi. Members of Tawoon boast years of experience in commerce, manufacturing, information technology and healthcare.

Taawon stated that bringing initiatives to offset the burden of inflation caused by the implementation of the VAT and other rising expenses will also be central to the group’s plans.

“Major changes have been coursing through the country’s economy especially with the inflation and the introduction of the Value Added Tax (VAT) and therefore Taawon feels obligated to participate in this election and to guide the chamber and the private sector towards improving the national economy,” it stated.

“Taawon believes in motivating the Bahraini youth to access the world of entrepreneurship and promoting them to offer their high-quality services to outside markets to refresh the Bahraini economy,” it stated.
