An education in terror: Children watch as two syrian army soldiers are executed in public

Sanaa

ISIS has released another gruesome video showing the public execution of two suspected Syrian soldiers - as young boys watch on.

Children force their way through a large crowd for a better view of two helpless men before they are murdered by two masked militants in Syria's north-east Hasakah Province.

They are seen kneeling in front of two armed Islamic State soldiers who eventually raise their handguns and shoot them in the head from point blank range.

In the three minute-long propaganda video released on its social media channels in April, one fanatical onlooker seems to smirk as the triggers are pulled.

Before the execution, the two men are forced to give interviews where they confess - presumably under duress - to joining the Syrian army to battle ISIS.

One visibly-frightened man tells the camera he worked as a 'driver' before he was convinced to join the Syrian military by one of his relatives.

The second man claims to have been a barber who joined the Free Syrian Army - an independent militia group who aggressively oppose both the government and ISIS.

He says he eventually switched his allegiance to join the regime alongside his fellow doomed captive.

Both men - who are referred to as 'state agents' throughout the video - are murdered to deter people joining Islamic State's enemies, an Arabic translator has told MailOnline.

Seven United States-led airstrikes have reportedly destroyed vehicles and 'fighting positions' in Hasakah - where the men were executed - over the last few days.

The US and its allies have conducted over 21 airstrikes since Monday targeting Islamic State's military strongholds in Syria and Iraq, the Combined Joint Task Force carrying out the operations said on Tuesday.

Four air strikes destroyed vehicles near the Iraqi city of Ramadi which Islamic State recently captured. While ten others hit near Bayji, Sinjar, Fallujah and other towns in the country.

Meanwhile a Kurdish militia group has reported they have made advances in their ongoing battle to seize control of Hasakah from ISIS.

The People's Protection Units (YPG) claimed to have seized four villages from the terror group, including Tel Huda.

Backed by US-led airstrikes, YPG forces recaptured the Kurdish village of Kobane - which is in Hasakah - from ISIS back in January 2015 after nearly five months of fighting.

The terror group also abducted more than 200 Assyrian Christians from Hasakah during an offensive on the province in March 2015.
