U.S. Lifts Maritime Restrictions on Iranian Ports
U.S. forces have lifted restrictions on maritime traffic entering and leaving Iranian ports and coastal areas, according to an official statement issued under presidential direction.
The announcement confirmed that American naval forces are no longer impeding the movement of vessels to or from Iranian ports in the Arabian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman. It added that all U.S. military blockade enforcement operations have now ceased.
Despite the end of enforcement activity, U.S. naval ships will remain deployed in the broader region to monitor compliance and ensure that the terms of the agreement are fully implemented and upheld.
The statement did not provide further details on the nature of the agreement or the conditions that led to the suspension of blockade measures.
