One dead, one injured in wall collapse in CBD
Muscat - One person died and another was injured when a wall under construction collapsed in the CBD area on Thursday afternoon.
The victims were working at the construction site when the wall caved in at around 11.45am. One person, who hails from Uttar Pradesh in India, died on the spot. Another worker, a native of the southern state of Andhra Pradesh has been rushed to the hospital for treatment.
Senior officials of the company said that wet weather conditions prevailing at the construction site might have caused the wall collapse.
