LIC International, one of the Kingdom’s leading life insurance providers, is set to welcome its new Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director, Ms. Veena Khan, who will officially assume charge in Bahrain on August 10, 2026, bringing with her more than three decades of distinguished leadership in the insurance industry.

A highly respected insurance professional, Ms. Khan joins LIC International after an accomplished career with the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC), where she built an impressive track record spanning over 30 years. Throughout her career, she has played a pivotal role in driving sustainable business growth, formulating corporate strategy and leading large-scale operations across multiple distribution channels, including Tied Agency, Bancassurance and Direct Marketing.

Known for her strategic vision and operational excellence, Ms. Khan possesses extensive expertise in underwriting, policy servicing, claims management, audit and corporate communications. Her leadership philosophy centres on organizational alignment, innovation and delivering long-term value to stakeholders.

Academically accomplished, Ms. Khan has completed the prestigious Post Graduate Executive Program (PGEP) from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad. She also holds certifications in Tracking Organizational Performance and Quantitative Data Analytics, has completed a Management Development Program at ISB Hyderabad, and is a Fellow of the Insurance Institute of India (FIII). Her expertise further extends to the internationally recognised Norton-Kaplan Balanced Scorecard framework.

Beyond her corporate achievements, Ms. Khan has been a regular guest faculty member at premier life insurance training institutes in India, mentoring professionals and sharing her knowledge with the next generation of industry leaders.

Her appointment marks an important milestone for LIC International as the company continues to strengthen its presence across the GCC.
