One dead, two injured in shooting near Mexico's presidential palace

Mexico City: A man was killed and two others injured in a shooting near Mexico City's historic Zócalo square and the National Palace, President Claudia Sheinbaum's official house, authorities said.
Mexico City's Security Secretariat described this incident as a targeted attack. The 42 years old victim, died at the scene, while two 39-year-old men were injured and taken to the hospital.
The attackers reportedly left the scene on a motorbike soon after the shooting. Police have initiated an investigation and are evaluating evidence to find and apprehend those responsible. Authorities have not yet revealed the motivation for the attack.
