London: A man in his 40s has admitted to 32 sexual offences against his partner, including 12 counts of rape, after prosecutors alleged the attacks took place while she was drugged or asleep over more than a decade.

The offences were committed between January 2014 and September 2025, with some involving unidentified men. Prosecutors told Northampton Crown Court that several of the assaults were recorded by the defendant, who pleaded guilty to all charges.

The defendant cannot be identified to protect the victim's identity. While prosecutors maintain the woman was drugged during every assault, the defence disputes that claim in some instances, arguing she may have been asleep instead.

The man is due to be sentenced on 18 September and could face life imprisonment. The case comes as UK authorities continue investigating a growing number of alleged drug-facilitated sexual abuse cases involving intimate partners.
