LPG Tanker Hit by Debris Near Strait of Hormuz, Crew Safe
The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) has received a delayed report of an incident involving an LPG tanker transiting outbound from the Strait of Hormuz.
According to the vessel’s master, the tanker was hit by debris from unknown projectiles. All crew members are reported safe, with no environmental impact reported.
The tanker will continue to its next port of call, while authorities investigate the incident.
UKMTO has advised vessels operating in the area to transit with caution and report any suspicious activity to the organisation.
