Kuwait City: Kuwait’s Interior Ministry has officially banned the daytime operation of delivery motorcycles during peak summer hours to protect workers from extreme heat. The restriction, implemented by the General Traffic Department, prohibits delivery bikes from operating nationwide between 11 AM and 4 PM daily.

The mandatory safety regulation is scheduled to run for three months, starting June 1 and concluding on August 31. Authorities introduced the measure as a humanitarian effort to shield delivery drivers from dangerous heat exhaustion and the severe health risks tied to direct midday sun exposure.

The General Traffic Department emphasized that compliance is non-negotiable for all logistics and food delivery businesses. The ministry announced that strict legal procedures and penalties will be actively enforced against any companies found violating the daily curfew hours. Delivery operations may resume normally outside of the prohibited afternoon window.
