Jerusalem: Israeli emergency services and the military reported that a car crashed into pedestrians near the Gush Etzion Junction in the occupied West Bank on Sunday night, injuring two Israeli teenagers. An Israeli soldier shot and killed the alleged attacker on the spot.

Israel's national emergency agency, Magen David Adom (MDA), said that a 15 years old girl had severe facial injuries and a 17 years old girl had limb injuries. Both are taken to a hospital in Jerusalem for further treatments. Up to four people may have been hurt, according to early reports from various local media, yet police eventually confirmed two casualties.

The Israeli military said that in response to reports of a vehicle-ramming incident that targeted civilians, troops were dispatched to the busy junction between Bethlehem and Hebron. A soldier immediately fired and ‘eliminated the terrorist,’ according to the military, while other forces formed barriers and conducted searches in the area.

The Palestinian Health Ministry identified the deceased suspect as 31-year-old Hebron resident Amjad Jawad Abdel Fattah Natsheh, who was killed by Israeli soldiers at the intersection south of Bethlehem. Israeli officials have not disclosed the attacker's identity.
