LONDON: Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair has launched a fierce critique against Keir Starmer’s government, warning that the Labour Party is heading toward a certain election defeat due to its ‘almost infinite capacity for self-delusion".

In a comprehensive 5,700-word essay published by his institute, Blair urged current leadership to immediately abandon its "soft left" policy framework and return to the radical centre.

Blair explicitly targeted Ed Miliband’s net zero drive and the phasing out of North Sea oil and gas licenses as critical economic blunders.

He argued that the administration must reverse these green policies to prioritize business growth, welfare cuts, and the rapid adoption of artificial intelligence.

Furthermore, he stressed that the UK must repair and smooth its diplomatic relations with US President Donald Trump to preserve global influence.
