Pilgrims arriving from Muzdalifah began performing the stoning ritual at Jamrat Al Aqaba in Mina at dawn today on the first day of Eid Al Adha, supported by extensive security, health, and organizational measures aimed at ensuring the rituals are carried out safely and smoothly.
The Jamarat facility experienced steady crowd movement, aided by direct field supervision and operational plans designed to manage pedestrian traffic and facilitate safe movement between the holy sites.
Authorities stepped up service operations around the facility by deploying ambulance and medical teams, providing guidance and awareness services, and intensifying sanitation and cleaning efforts to maintain a safe and comfortable environment for pilgrims, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
At the same time, shuttle buses and the Al Mashaaer Al Mugaddassah Metro continued transporting pilgrims between the holy sites in line with operational schedules and crowd-management plans intended to ease movement and reduce travel time.
The stoning of Jamrat Al Aqaba is one of the main Hajj rituals performed after pilgrims spend the night in Muzdalifah. Pilgrims then continue the remaining rites of the Day of Al Nahr (Day of Sacrifice), including animal sacrifice, shaving or trimming hair, and Tawaf Al Ifadah.
