Trump Says Health Is ‘Perfect’ Ahead of 80th Birthday

Washington: U.S. President Donald Trump said his most recent medical exam went ‘perfectly,’ seeking to reassure the public on his health as he enters his 80th birthday on June 14.

The White House portrayed Trump's visit to Walter Reed National Military Medical Centre as his annual medical evaluation. Following the appointment, he posted on Truth Social that ‘everything checked out PERFECTLY,’ and the White House later repeated the assertion.

The checkup comes amid greater scrutiny of the president's health following public appearances that raised concerns about bruising on his hands, swelling in his ankles, a neck rash, and occasional symptoms of exhaustion. Captain Sean Barbabella, a White House physician, has previously stated that these symptoms are minor, blaming the bruising on aspirin, the rash on a regular skin treatment, and the leg swelling on chronic venous dysfunction.

Trump has often emphasised his physical and mental well-being. He is the oldest person to be sworn in as President of the United States as he started his second term. His physician had previously reported that he performed perfectly on a cognitive evaluation and that tests revealed a cardiovascular age that was significantly younger than his actual age.

A summary of the latest medical examination is supposed to be released in the coming days, but the level of detail made public will be determined by the White House.
