Hamilton Returns to Form with Second Place Finish at Canadian Grand Prix

Montreal : Lewis Hamilton delivered a strong performance to finish second in the Canadian Grand Prix on Sunday, marking his best result since joining Ferrari and his second podium of the season.

The seven-time world champion said he was “delighted” with the result at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, a track he described as his favourite in Formula 1. Hamilton also praised his Ferrari team for their support, saying the result felt like a turning point after a difficult period.

The 41-year-old has a strong history in Canada, where he claimed his first career F1 win in 2007 and has since matched Michael Schumacher’s record of seven victories at the circuit.

Hamilton said the team’s progress was encouraging, especially against strong competition from Mercedes, and expressed optimism about Ferrari’s future performance as development continues through the season.

Mercedes driver Kimi Antonelli won the race, extending his lead in the championship standings, while Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc finished fourth after struggling with tyre performance and confidence in his car.

Despite not winning, Hamilton said the result showed Ferrari is moving in the right direction and urged the team to keep improving in the coming races.
