EDGE Signs Airfreight Agreement with Etihad Airways at MIITE 2026

EDGE Group has signed a Global Air Carrier Services Agreement with Etihad Airways during Make it in the Emirates 2026, marking a strategic move to consolidate its airfreight operations under the UAE’s national carrier.

Under the agreement, EDGE will procure airfreight services through Etihad Airways’ cargo division, streamlining shipments across its network of 35 entities. The deal supports EDGE’s broader strategy to strengthen local partnerships within its supply chain while enhancing operational efficiency and reliability.

The collaboration underscores a shared commitment to advancing the UAE’s industrial ecosystem by leveraging national capabilities. By centralising logistics operations with Etihad Cargo, EDGE aims to improve coordination, scalability, and responsiveness for high-value and time-sensitive shipments.

Hamad Al Marar, Managing Director and CEO of EDGE Group, stated that the agreement aligns with the organisation’s vision to build strong domestic partnerships that deliver long-term value to the UAE’s economy and industrial base.

Antonoaldo Neves, CEO of Etihad Airways, highlighted that Etihad Cargo’s global reach, reliability, and security make it well-positioned to support complex logistics demands, particularly for advanced industrial and defence sectors.
