Trump condemns 'terrible' Russia strikes on Kyiv
Washington D.C.: U.S. President Donald Trump on Thursday condemned a large-scale Russian drone and missile attack on Ukraine that killed at least 19 people and damaged residential buildings in the capital Kyiv.
Asked by reporters at the White House about the strikes, Trump said: “I think it’s terrible.”
The overnight barrage reportedly involved hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles targeting multiple Ukrainian cities, making it one of the deadliest recent assaults.
Authorities in Kyiv said apartment buildings were hit during the attack, while rescue workers continued searching damaged sites.
The comments come amid continued fighting between Russia and Ukraine, as international concern grows over escalating attacks on civilian areas.
