White House Dismisses ‘Speculative’ 15-Point Iran Plan

The White House has stated that U.S. President Donald Trump is currently engaged in “productive conversations” with Iran, signaling a potential diplomatic opening amid rising tensions.

White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt said that Iran expressed willingness to engage in dialogue following Trump’s recent warning about possible strikes on Iranian energy infrastructure.

“President Trump is willing to listen,” Leavitt said, adding that the US president has been involved in discussions with Iran over the past three days.

She emphasized that Trump’s ultimate goal remains peace, but issued a strong warning that failure by Iran to acknowledge current realities could lead to severe consequences. “President Trump does not bluff and is prepared to respond decisively,” she said.

Leavitt also claimed that Iran’s previous “miscalculation” had already resulted in significant losses, including damage to its leadership structure, naval capabilities, and air defense systems.

Addressing reports from Iranian state media rejecting a proposed plan, Leavitt confirmed that talks between the US and Iran are ongoing. However, she dismissed a widely circulated 15-point plan on social media as largely speculative.

“There are elements of truth,” she noted, “but some of the reporting has not been entirely accurate,” declining to provide further details on the negotiations.

Meanwhile, Leavitt indicated that the current conflict timeline could last approximately four to six weeks. This estimate comes ahead of Trump’s scheduled visit to China, where he is expected to meet Xi Jinping in Beijing on May 14–15.

When asked about the possibility of direct US-Iran talks taking place in Pakistan, Leavitt cautioned against speculation, stating that no developments should be considered official unless confirmed by the White House.
