A Message of Tolerance and Mercy
His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa issued an address marking the birth of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), calling for reflection on his life and its lessons in guidance, justice and good character.
His Majesty said the Prophet's life reflected Islam's values of tolerance, mercy, peace and coexistence, urging the nation to uphold these principles in daily conduct rather than mere commemoration. He noted the Prophet's message emphasised justice, compassion and human unity.
Amid growing global challenges, His Majesty said the Prophet's life remains a source of guidance in overcoming division through unity and rejecting hatred through mercy, urging these values to guide national service and Bahrain's progress.
Shura Chief Praises Message
Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh said the royal message reaffirmed Bahrain's commitment to peace and Islamic unity, describing the Kingdom as a model of harmony among communities.
Al Saleh praised His Majesty's initiatives promoting global tolerance, including international centres and awards, and said Bahrain's history as a meeting place of civilisations reflects an authentic national approach to protecting societies from division.
Legislative Commitment Affirmed
Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, commended the address's emphasis on tolerance and Islamic unity, stressing the importance of confronting hate speech and extremism.
Al Musallam highlighted the King's call to strengthen social solidarity and support youth, and affirmed the Council's commitment to reflecting these values through legislation protecting the family and preserving Bahrain's social fabric.
