New Delhi: India’s Adani Group on Tuesday unveiled plans to invest USD 100 billion to build renewable-energy-powered, hyperscale AI-ready data centres across India by 2035, marking one of the world’s largest integrated energy and compute commitments.

The initiative is expected to spur an additional USD 150 billion in investments across server manufacturing, cloud platforms and allied industries, creating a projected USD 250 billion AI infrastructure ecosystem in the country, Adani Enterprises said in a statement.

“The world is entering an intelligence revolution more profound than any previous industrial revolution,” said Chairman Gautam Adani. “Nations that master the symmetry between energy and compute will shape the next decade.” He added that India is uniquely positioned to lead this transformation.

Adani said the group aims to expand beyond its existing data centre and green energy operations into a comprehensive five-layer AI stack, positioning India as a creator and exporter of AI capabilities rather than just a consumer.

The roadmap builds on AdaniConneX’s existing 2 GW national data centre platform, with plans to scale up to 5 GW. The expansion is supported by partnerships with Google to develop a gigawatt-scale AI data centre campus in Visakhapatnam, and with Microsoft for facilities in Hyderabad and Pune.

The group is also collaborating with Flipkart to establish a second AI data centre aimed at supporting high-performance AI workloads and next-generation digital commerce.

According to the company, the 5 GW deployment will create the world’s largest integrated data centre platform, combining renewable power generation, transmission infrastructure and hyperscale AI compute under a unified architecture.

The Adani Group has invited global technology companies, sovereign institutions and innovation partners to participate in building India’s next-generation AI infrastructure platform.
