Iran’s IRGC Calls for ‘Revenge’ Following Death of Senior Hezbollah Leader
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) on Monday vowed retaliation following the killing of senior Hezbollah military commander Haytham Ali Tabatabai in an Israeli airstrike on Beirut a day earlier.
In an official statement, the IRGC — Hezbollah’s primary military and financial supporter — said the “Axis of Resistance and Lebanese Hezbollah have an unquestionable right to avenge the blood of the brave fighters of Islam.” The remarks come amid heightened regional tensions and growing concerns over potential escalations between Iran-backed groups and Israel.
