Under a New Ministerial Decision Kuwait Allows Vehicle Window Tinting Up to 50%

The First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of Kuwait, Sheikh Fahd Al-Yousef, has issued Ministerial Resolution No. (1398) of 2025, amending certain provisions of the Executive
Regulations of the Traffic Law.
The decision permits the installation of factory-standard tinted glass for all types of vehicles, as well as tinted film, provided that the level of tinting does not exceed 50%.
It also allows the tinting of all windows except the front windshield directly opposite the driver, which must remain transparent and safe in accordance with Gulf standard specifications.
The decision prohibits the use of reflective glass or films.
The regulation will come into effect from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
