Canada announced that flights will resume on Sunday following a strike that halted over 700 Air Canada flights.
The Canadian Industrial Relations Board (CIRB), following a directive from Jobs Minister Patty Hajdu, ordered Air Canada to restart operations. The board also instructed all Air Canada and Air Canada Rouge flight attendants to return to work by 2:00 pm ET (6:00 pm GMT), the airline confirmed.
The strike, the first by Air Canada flight attendants since 1985, came after months of unsuccessful contract negotiations.
