Popular Kuwaiti Actress Arrested in Drug Possession Case

A well-known Kuwaiti actress was arrested on Friday for allegedly possessing illegal drugs for personal use, according to a statement from Kuwait’s Ministry of Interior. The arrest is part of a broader national campaign aimed at tackling drug-related crimes across the country.

According to the General Department for Combating Narcotics, the arrest came after a period of close surveillance and investigation. Authorities reportedly found a quantity of marijuana, cocaine, and other controlled substances in her possession during the operation.

“The arrest was made based on credible intelligence and after following proper legal procedures,” the ministry said. “The suspect was found in possession of substances intended for personal consumption.”

The woman has been referred to the public prosecution for further investigation.

In its statement, the Interior Ministry emphasized its ongoing efforts to combat drug use and trafficking, which it described as a serious threat to public health and safety. It also urged the public to play a role by reporting any suspicious activity, stressing that drug crimes will not be tolerated.
