Israel PM says bodies of two hostages retrieved from Gaza

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced on Thursday the recovery of the bodies of two Israeli citizens who were killed during the October 7, 2023, Hamas-led assault and subsequently taken into Gaza.
In a statement, Netanyahu revealed that a joint operation conducted by Israel’s security agency and military successfully retrieved the remains of Judy Weinstein-Haggai and Gad Haggai, residents of Kibbutz Nir Oz.
"Judy and Gad were murdered on October 7 and abducted to the Gaza Strip by the murderous terrorist organization Hamas," Netanyahu stated. "Their bodies have now been returned to Israel, and may their memory be a blessing."
The recovery marks a somber moment in Israel’s continued efforts to bring home hostages and remains from Gaza following the deadly incursion by Hamas militants last year, which sparked one of the most intense and prolonged conflicts in the region in recent history.
