Bahrain-Turkey Parliamentary Collaboration Expands Through New Protocol

The Secretary-General of Bahrain’s Council of Representatives, Eng. Mohammed Ibrahim Al-Sisi Al-Buainain, emphasized the importance of exchanging expertise and successful experiences between the general secretariats of legislative councils to enhance institutional practices and support parliamentary work.

This statement was made during his meeting with Mr. Talip Uzun, Secretary-General of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, who expressed his appreciation for the constructive cooperation with the General Secretariat of Bahrain’s Council of Representatives and its distinguished institutional framework.

During the meeting, Eng. Mohammed Ibrahim Al-Sisi Al-Buainain highlighted the commitment of Bahrain’s General Secretariat, under the guidance and support of the Speaker of the Council of Representatives, to enhancing performance, improving service quality, and leveraging technological advancements in parliamentary work. He also underscored Bahrain’s remarkable success stories and civilizational achievements under the comprehensive development vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, with the support and follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

Furthermore, he confirmed that the General Secretariat of Bahrain’s Council of Representatives will oversee the implementation of the cooperation protocol between Bahrain’s Council of Representatives and the Grand National Assembly of Turkey. This protocol was signed by Speaker Ahmed bin Salman Al-Musallam and Prof. Numan Kurtulmuş, Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, as part of the parliamentary visit to Turkey.

During the visit, the delegation toured the General Secretariat sector of the Turkish Parliament, reviewing the operations of the parliamentary division, support services provided to members, and various departments and sections.
