A bus carrying Palestinian prisoners, released as part of a deal between Israel and Hamas, departed Ofer Prison in the occupied West Bank on Saturday, an AFP journalist confirmed. This exchange follows the return of three Israeli hostages, who were handed over earlier in the central Gaza city of Deir el-Balah.
This marks the fifth such swap since a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas took effect on January 19, facilitating the release of hostages as part of ongoing negotiations between the two parties. The development signals continued progress under the terms of the ceasefire deal, which has resulted in multiple releases on both sides.
