Support For Children
Jetour Bahrain and the Capital Governorate have partnered for the third consecutive year to support children from the Batelco Home for Child Welfare as they begin the new school year. The joint initiative provided young students with backpacks and comprehensive educational kits to ensure they start their classes with confidence.
The event was attended by Deputy Governor Brigadier Ammar Mustafa Jaafar Al Sayed and Jetour Bahrain Dealer Principal Manaf Kassem. Company officials reaffirmed their continued commitment to corporate social responsibility and local community welfare, emphasizing the importance of empowering the nation’s youth through education.
EXPRESSIONS 2026
The New Millennium School (NMS), Bahrain, organized its Annual Art Exhibition, ‘EXPRESSIONS 2026’, on September 26 alongside its Parent-Teacher Interaction. The showcase featured a gallery of drawings, sketches, and canvas paintings created by students from Kindergarten to Grade XII. A dedicated ‘Parents’ Corner’ highlighted creative contributions from the parent community. Principal Dr. Arun Kuumar Sharma formally inaugurated the event, praising the role of artistic expression in student growth. School Chairman Dr. Ravi Pillai and Managing Director Mrs. Geetha Pillai commended the Art Department and parents for fostering creative excellence across all grade levels.
Abu Dhabi International Book Fair
Seven young writers from Sacred Heart School were celebrated at the Learner Circle Young Authors’ Book Launch during the 35th Abu Dhabi International Book Fair. Principal Sr. Roselyn Thomas A.C. attended as guest of honor to encourage the students as they received copies of their published works and certificates.
The featured authors included senior students Aliena Jacob, Adoria Savio, Arielle Martin, and Daniel Xavier Fernandes, alongside junior writers Arantza Sharma, Evana Jacob, and Mary Chrizylle Barcelon. School management commended the students on their outstanding literary accomplishments across poetry, short stories, and novellas.
Educators’ Day 2026’
The PTA Executive Committee of New Horizon School, Bahrain, organized ‘Educators’ Day 2026’ on October 4 to honor teacher dedication. Attended by Chairman Mr. Joy Mathews, school leaders, and sponsor Malabar Gold and Diamonds representative Mr. Mohammed Hamdan, the event featured lively teacher competitions, including a dance contest and creative games. Students contributed with a performance by the Student Council Orchestra, dance routines, and video tributes.
EKTA 2026’ Special Event
Teachers and staff of The Asian School, Bahrain, gathered to celebrate ‘EKTA 2026’, a special event organized around the core values of education, equality, and togetherness. Combining the celebrations of Teachers’ Day, Hindi Diwas, and Onam, the grand occasion featured an array of vibrant cultural performances by the faculty, including traditional dance, music, and skits.
Highlighting unity in diversity, the event provided a platform for educators to showcase their creative talents while fostering joyful camaraderie across the school community. School officials praised the enthusiastic participation that made the festive gathering a memorable success.
Inter-School Mathematics Symposium
The Department of Mathematics at The New Indian School W.L.L. hosted ‘Mathletes 6’, an Inter-School Mathematics Quiz and Symposium featuring students from CBSE schools across Bahrain. Aimed at fostering logical reasoning and analytical thinking, the event saw The Asian School claim first place in the Math Quiz, followed by The Indian School and host New Indian School. In the Symposium on “The Invisible Mathematics Around Us,” Ibn Al Hytham Islamic School and The New Indian School jointly took top honors. The event concluded with a valedictory session awarding trophies and certificates to the winning participants.
Life Sa ving-Training
RCSI Medical University of Bahrain and Royal Life Saving Bahrain (RLSB) renewed their agreement to advance life-saving training and community volunteering for medical and nursing students. The agreement was signed on campus by RLSB Chairperson Her Highness Shaikha Nayla bint Hamad bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa and RCSI Bahrain President Professor Sameer Otoom. Building on their 2021 partnership, over 200 students have completed practical training in first aid, CPR, AED use, and water safety, with 196 student volunteers delivering over 2,000 hours of community service across Bahrain. Both leaders commended the students’ dedication to public health and drowning prevention.
