BIS Celebrates Francophonie: A Grand Tribute to French Language, Culture & Creativity

Bhavans Bahrain Indian School’s (BIS) French Department celebrated International French Speaking Countries Day with a vibrant series of competitions and cultural presentations, highlighting the richness of the French language and Francophone culture. The event reflected the spirit of unity in diversity, where students explored language as a powerful bridge connecting hearts and minds under the theme Le Diversite Notre Fierte (Diversity Our Pride)
Students from across all grades participated enthusiastically in a wide range of activities, including poetry recitation, French songs, Le Jeu de Passport, French cultural fact presentations, and French literature writing. The celebrations also featured spectacular fashion shows such as Francophonie Traditional Dresses, L’Opéra on “La Révolution Française, which added colour, creativity, and cultural depth to the event. The event concluded as a grand showcase of talent, confidence, and cultural appreciation, leaving a lasting impression on the school community. Congratulations were extended to all winners for their outstanding performances and achievements.
Directors, Mr. Himanshu Verma & Mrs. Ritu Verma appreciated the students’ exemplary cultural etiquette, dedication, and enthusiastic participation, and encouraged them to continue embracing global cultures with enthusiasm and respect.
Principal Saji Jacob applauded the students for their remarkable efforts and also appreciated the effort of teachers in nurturing global learners.
