Dubai Developer Makes Landmark Debut at Milan Design Week 2026, Showcasing UAE’s Design Vision

Alta Real Estate Development has made its first official appearance at Milan Design Week 2026, marking a significant milestone as the first Emirati developer to participate in the globally renowned design platform.

The debut signals a shift in how regional developers engage with the international design landscape, with Alta positioning itself beyond traditional real estate by contributing to broader conversations around architecture, design, and culture.

Throughout the week, Alta delivered a curated three-part programme focused on dialogue, collaboration, and design presentation, reinforcing its creative direction rooted in craftsmanship and architectural innovation.

Exploring Italian Influence on Modern Living

On April 23, Alta joined a panel discussion titled The New Classic, hosted with AD Italia at Casa Cipriani Milano in collaboration with Mr. C Residences Downtown. The session examined the enduring influence of Italian design on contemporary residential living.

The discussion brought together industry leaders including Giuseppe Noto, CEO of Alta, architect Stefano Belingardi Clusoni, Marco Longoni of Poliform, and Cristian Brugnoli of Technogym. Moderated by Valentina Raggi of AD Italia, the panel explored how heritage, craftsmanship, and modern design continue to shape luxury living.

Private Showcase for Maison Margiela Residences

Alta also hosted an exclusive private dinner dedicated to the Maison Margiela Residences, bringing together international editors, collectors, and design figures.

During the event, guests were introduced to the first bespoke furniture piece designed by A++ Group under the direction of Carlo Colombo. The unveiling was accompanied by a brand film documenting the creative process, offering insight into how Maison Margiela’s design identity is translated into residential spaces.

Brera Unveiling Highlights Design Direction

The following day, Alta continued its programme in Brera with a private viewing of the bespoke furniture piece — an inaugural sofa forming part of a wider exclusive collection for the project.

Presented alongside campaign visuals and behind-the-scenes material, the piece reflected a unified design approach where fashion, architecture, and interiors intersect as part of a cohesive creative vision.

Alta’s participation in Milan Design Week places Dubai within a broader global design dialogue, highlighting the emirate’s growing influence in shaping contemporary architecture and lifestyle experiences.

The company said the debut marks the beginning of a long-term strategy to bridge regional innovation with international design excellence, positioning the UAE as a key contributor to the evolving global design narrative.
