SDG 11 Session at Bhavans-Bahrain Indian School

Bhavans-Bahrain Indian School organised an enlightening session under ‘SDG Bhavans Bahrain: Season 3’, focusing on Sustainable Development Goal 11 – Sustainable Cities and Communities. The initiative encouraged students to envision cities that are inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable, nurturing awareness toward responsible urban living and global citizenship.

Dr Sh. Fay Abdulla Mohammed Al-Khalifa, Director of the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Centre and Associate Professor at the University of Bahrain, graced the occasion as the distinguished speaker. In her insightful address, Dr Fay emphasised the importance of urban innovation, environmental stewardship, and active community participation. She inspired students to take meaningful actions in their daily lives to promote sustainability and also highlighted diverse career pathways that contribute to achieving SDG 11.

The speech was followed by an interactive question-and-answer session, wherein the speaker answered students’ queries with great insight and enthusiasm, making the session highly engaging and informative.

Directors Mr. Himanshu Verma and Mrs. Ritu Verma along with Principal Mr. Saji Jacob extended heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Sh. Fay Al-Khalifa for her enriching session and valuable perspectives. The event reaffirmed Bahrain Indian School’s commitment to fostering responsible, forward-thinking learners who are prepared to shape a more sustainable and harmonious world.
