Emirates to Offer Complimentary Starlink Wi-Fi Across Entire Fleet by 2027

Emirates Airline has announced a groundbreaking upgrade to inflight connectivity, rolling out Starlink Wi-Fi across its entire in-service fleet by mid-2027. The initiative begins with the airline’s Boeing 777 aircraft in November 2025, promising passengers ultra-fast, ground-quality internet at cruising altitude.

The new Starlink service allows travelers to stream, game, make calls, work, and browse social media seamlessly on both seatback screens and personal devices. With this integration, Emirates aims to provide a connected experience across all cabin classes.

Emirates plans to equip its 232 in-service aircraft over the next two years. The first aircraft, Boeing 777-300ER A6-EPF, has already been fitted with Starlink and was showcased at the Dubai Airshow, allowing visitors to experience high-speed internet while on the ground. Following the Airshow, A6-EPF will operate the first commercial passenger flight featuring Starlink, marking the start of the accelerated fleet rollout. Approximately 14 aircraft per month will be upgraded, with Airbus A380 installations set to begin in February 2026.

Each Boeing 777 will feature two Starlink antennae, while the Airbus A380 will become the first commercial aircraft to feature three antennae, offering unmatched connectivity, capacity, and coverage for every cabin. Live TV via Starlink will also be introduced, initially on personal devices, with seatback availability expected from late December 2025.

Crucially, the service will be free for all passengers on Starlink-equipped aircraft, accessible via one-click login with no payment or Skywards membership required.

Sir Tim Clark, President of Emirates Airline, said:
"Partnering with Starlink marks another defining moment in our commitment to ensuring our customers ‘fly better’. We’re introducing the world’s fastest Wi-Fi, allowing passengers to stay connected, productive, and entertained throughout their journey. This is part of a wider fleet transformation including Premium Economy, enhanced Business and First Class cabins, and upgraded entertainment systems."

He added, "Our goal is consistency. While others offer a patchwork of products, Emirates wants all passengers to enjoy the airline’s best experiences on every aircraft and route. Advanced connectivity, exceptional cabins, world-class service—these investments raise the bar for air travel."

Chad Gibbs, VP of Starlink Business Operations at SpaceX, commented:
"With Starlink onboard, Emirates passengers can stream, game, and video call just as they do on the ground. We’re thrilled to support this rapid rollout while maintaining high-quality service for travelers."

With Starlink, Emirates is setting a new standard for inflight connectivity, promising a fully connected and seamless digital experience for travelers worldwide.
