Crusader gallops to win in final race

The favourite Caped Crusader owned by Al Nasseriyeh, trained by Allan Smith and ridden by Tristan Normand won the seventh and final race for the Lexus Cup open to locally bred three years and upwards over 1,200 metres and worth BD2,000 in the 13th meeting of the season yesterday at the Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club in Sakhir.

Coming in second place two lengths behind was the second favourite Penelope Pitstop owned by Hand R Stables, trained by Allan Smith and ridden by Brett Doyle and a further length and three quarters behind in third was Nardeen owned by Feras Sami Hassan Al Meshqab,  trained by Osama Hussain and ridden by Ali Hassan.

Fourth place behind by a neck was Tickity Boo owned by H and R Stables, trained by Allan Smith and ridden by Sadiq Hameed.

The overall performer of the meeting was Andrew Elliott with three race wins and a fourth place finish.
