Bahrain’s beach wrestling team begins competition today at the sixth Asian Beach Games in Sanya, China, aiming for strong performances and potential medals.
The Kingdom is represented by Shamil Sharipov, Magomed Sharipov, Magomedrasul Asluev, and Alibeg Alibegov across multiple weight categories.
The squad completed a training camp in Russia before arriving in Sanya, with preparations focused on improving technique and readiness for the continental event. Officials also attended the final technical meeting ahead of the start of competition, which confirmed regulations and bout procedures.
Bahrain will look to make an impact as beach wrestling action gets underway against a strong field of Asian competitors.
