‘Trom’ Secures First Place at Amir of Qatar Camel Racing Festival
The camel “Trom,” owned by Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, has claimed first place at the prestigious Amir of Qatar Camel Racing Festival, held at Al Shahaniya Racetrack in Qatar.
Delivering a standout performance, “Trom” completed the race in 5 minutes, 55.84 seconds, outperforming a competitive field of elite camels and reinforcing its position among the top contenders in its category.
Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, said the victory reflects the steady progress of camel racing in Bahrain and its growing presence on the international stage. He also praised the efforts of the team behind the achievement.
He further commended the strong participation of Bahrain’s camels in the festival, noting that their overall performance contributed to strengthening the Kingdom’s reputation in the sport.
The win highlights the continued excellence of Bahraini camels in one of the region’s most celebrated traditional sports, with the race drawing enthusiastic crowds and widespread praise for “Trom’s” commanding display.
