Bahrain Beach Handball Team Kicks Off Preparations for Asian Beach Games

Bahrain’s national beach handball team has begun its technical preparations for the upcoming Asian Beach Games, set to take place in Sanya from April 22 to 30.

The Kingdom’s delegation has arrived and settled into the athletes’ village, completing entry procedures smoothly under the supervision of Ahmed Mohammed Abdul Ghaffar, Head of Delegation, and Maryam Mardana. An inspection tour of the village highlighted strong organisational readiness and well-equipped facilities.

Administrative teams ensured that players’ accommodation met all requirements and provided detailed briefings on training schedules and competition guidelines to support optimal performance.

On the technical front, the team has been training at Tianya Haijiao, focusing on both physical conditioning and tactical preparation. Recreational activities have also been incorporated to boost team morale.

As part of their build-up, Bahrain played two friendly matches against Oman, showing encouraging signs in team cohesion and performance.

The squad will continue intensive training ahead of the official start of competitions on April 21, under the leadership of head coach Hussein Al Qaidoum, assisted by Jaafar Abbas, with Fahad Jassim serving as team administrator. The 10-player squad is aiming to deliver strong performances throughout the tournament.
