McLaren, owned by Bahrain’s sovereign wealth fund Mumtalakat Holding Company, achieved another milestone in the Formula 1 World Championship after securing a commanding victory at the Brazilian Grand Prix held at the Interlagos Circuit in São Paulo.
British driver Lando Norris claimed first place for McLaren, marking his second consecutive win and seventh of the season. Starting from pole position, Norris delivered a flawless performance, maintaining his lead throughout the race and finishing 10.388 seconds ahead of Mercedes driver Kimi Antonelli, who took second place, while Red Bull’s Max Verstappen completed the podium in third.
Norris, who also leads the Drivers’ Championship, added eight valuable points to his tally on Saturday after winning the sprint race, widening the gap over his McLaren teammate and closest rival Oscar Piastri.
With these results, McLaren strengthened its dominance in both championships. Lando Norris now leads the standings with 390 points, followed by Oscar Piastri with 366 points, further demonstrating the team’s control over the 2025 season.
McLaren had already secured the 2025 Formula 1 Constructors’ Championship during the Singapore Grand Prix at Marina Bay Street Circuit—its second consecutive title—with six rounds remaining in the season.
These achievements underscore McLaren’s status as one of Bahrain’s most successful international sports investments, reflecting Mumtalakat’s commitment to supporting global sporting excellence and enhancing the Kingdom’s presence on the world sports stage.
