Bahrain Makes History with First-Ever Asian Para-Taekwondo Championship Victory

Bahrain has achieved a historic milestone by topping the overall standings at the Asian Para-Taekwondo (Poomsae) Championship, held recently in Kuching, Malaysia. The tournament brought together 50 athletes from eight countries: Bahrain, India, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand.
Team Bahrain delivered a stellar performance, winning nine medals—five gold, three silver, and one bronze—securing first place in Asia for the very first time.
Bahrain’s female athletes led the way, earning three gold, two silver, and one bronze medal, to claim first place in the women’s category. The men’s team also impressed, taking two golds and one silver, finishing second overall in their category.
