Frank Edgar takes on Mendes

Khalid Hamad Khalifa Mixed Martial Arts (KHK MMA) team professional fighter Frankie Edgar from the US is all set to take on fellow American Chad Mendes tomorrow in the featherweight division of the UFC-TUF 22 Ultimate Fighting Championship in Las Vegas.

In yesterday’s proceedings, HH Shaikh Khalid Bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the Bahrain Athletics Association attended a press conference involving the fighters in this weekend’s competition and discussing their preparations for the final event of the season.

Shaikh Khalid praised the efforts made by the Ultimate Fighting UFC organisation headed by Dana White for the success of this event, through the excellent organisation and create a competitive atmosphere between the fighters, and everyone who witnessed the press conference for the fighters.

White confirmed that Las Vegas will see three nights of tough fighting this weekend and plenty of excitement.

Edgar said, “I am ready for the bout and have trained well and know my opponent and his capabilities, but I’m confident I’ll be the better in the confrontation.”
