RJ Investment Holding junior open tennis begins

The RJ Investment Holding Juniors Open Tennis Championship organised by the Bahrain Tennis Club in Juffair got underway yesterday with comfortable win for all the victors in the six matches played.

In the Boys 12 years and under first round singles, Mohammed Kamran was an easy 60, winner over Ali Al Bahrani and Mohammed Al Shehabi lost just one game to beat Vineesh Mittal 6--1, 6-0.
In the other two matches of the category, Mubarak was a 6-1, 6-0 victory over Soham Shah and Kazuma had to work a bit to beat Dhaij Al Khalifa 62, 6-3.
In the 14 years and under singles, Ahmed Ibraham won 6-1, 6-0 in a first round tie and in the quarter finals Yuya Wakamatsu got the better of Ahmed Al Jassim 6-0, 6-0, while Mohammed Ibrahim and Avneet Singh received walkover wins from Aman Lalwani and Fredie Salmam respectively.
Action continues in these two categories from 4pm with eight matches in the 12 years and under and one quarter final in the 14 years and under category.

The tournament which runs until National Day on December 16 also features competition in the Unisex 8 and 10 years and under singles on
Friday along with the Girls 18 years and under singles on Thursday band
the Boys 18 years and under on Saturday with more than 100 players in the fray.

Meanwhile, the championship was opened yesterday under the patronage of Rashad Janahi, Chairman of RJ Investment Holdings and Khamis Almuqla, President of the Bahrain Tennis Club.
Almuqla expressed his gratitude to Janahi and RJ Investment Holdings for their patronage of this tournament and also thanked all the members, parents and most the players to make it a grand success and wished everyone the best of luck.
