The 2025–26 Khalid Bin Hamad Bahrain Handball League reaches its conclusion this week, with Al Ahli and Barbar set to contest the final tomorrow at 7pm at Khalifa Sports City Arena in Isa Town.

Both teams secured their places in the title decider after completing two-game sweeps in the Golden Square semi-finals, setting up a showdown between two sides that emerged strongly from tightly contested last-four encounters.

Barbar booked their place in the final with a dramatic 25–24 victory over defending champions Al Najma, sealed by a late winner from Hassan Al Fardan. Meanwhile, Al Ahli advanced after overcoming Al Shabab in a penalty shootout following a 31–31 draw in regulation time, with goalkeeper Hussain Mahfoudh playing a key role in the victory.

The final will see Barbar, coached by Bahraini tactician Hussam Madan, face Al Ahli under Serbian coach Predrag Petljansk in what is expected to be a closely fought title clash.

Before the final, Al Najma and Al Shabab will meet today at 7pm at the same venue in the third-place classification match.
