Goalkeeper Ammar Mohamed has confirmed his departure from Al Najma following the conclusion of the season, bringing an end to a nine-month spell with the club after joining last August.

Mohamed announced his exit via a personal message on social media, thanking the club’s management, coaching staff, teammates, and supporters for their backing during his time with the side.

The goalkeeper described his experience at Najma as demanding and full of lessons, saying the season felt “as if it lasted years” due to the intensity of events and circumstances faced during the campaign.

His departure follows a campaign in which he featured regularly for Al Najma, contributing to their efforts to retain their place in the Nasser bin Hamad Bahrain Premier League after a successful relegation play-off campaign.

Mohamed’s career path includes a long spell at Manama Club, where he developed between 2018 and 2023 before earning a move to Al Khaldiya, where he spent two seasons from 2023 to 2025. He then joined Al Najma in August 2025 ahead of the latest season.
