AI Noor students show charity
Compassion is one of the values taught to students at Al Noor International School. It is in the spirit of true kindness that the AS and A Level students decided to raise money for charity.
The students and their teachers elected to put to good use the business skills obtained during their Business Studies lessons and arranged a Bake Sale. They used their own pocket money to buy the ingredients, rolled up their sleeves and produced delicious pastries and other food items. The first Bake Sale, held on 10 January, was so successful that it was decided to repeat the same exercise a week later. In the process, the students gained practical experience about advertising, pricing, demand, customer satisfaction and packaging.
The students managed to raise the amount of BD 500 and decided to donate the money to the Parent Care Home in Muharraq where their contribution was accepted with gratitude.
