Bapco, Garmco sign new gas deal
Bahrain Petroleum Company (BAPCO) and Gulf Aluminium Rolling Mill (GARMCO) have signed a new gas supply agreement.
The new agreement aims at fostering Garmco’s New Smelter Facility project which is expecting completion during the first quarter of 2017. Bapco has been supplying natural gas to Garmco since 1985.
As per the new deal, Bapco will supply Garmco 4.5 million cubic meters per day.
The signing ceremony was attended by Garmco’s Chief Executive Officer Jean-Baptiste Lucas, Bapco’s Chief Executive Dr. Pete Bartlett, Bapco’s General Manager Petroleum Engineering and Exploration Ghassan Al Muhanna and other officials.
Commenting on the deal, Dr. Bartlett expressed Bapco’s pride in signing the new agreement with Garmco, hailing its prominent status in the field of industry.
For his part, Lucas thanked Bapco’s Management for signing the agreement, lauding its key role as a leading industrial establishment on regional and global arenas. He wished Bapco further progress and prosperity.
