Bahrain Flour Mills Company B.S.C Announces Financial Results for the Six Months Ended 30 June 2026
The Board of Directors of Bahrain Flour Mills Company B.S.C. (Al-Matahin) trading code (BFM) held its meeting on Wednesday, 12 Aug 2026, at 1 PM, chaired by Mr. Basim AlSaie, Chairman of the Board of Directors. The Board took a number of decisions, including the approval of the company's financial statements for the six-month period ending 30 June 2026.

Q2 Financial Results:
Bahrain Flour Mills company B.S.C. announces its financial results for the three months ended 30 Jun 2026. The company achieved a net profit for the period of BHD 293,906, compared to BHD 974,521 for the same period of last year representing a decrease of 70%.
This decrease in net profit for the second quarter of 2026, compared with the same period in 2025, is attributable to higher cost of sales and operating expenses, in addition to the costs arising from the current geopolitical conditions and their impact on investment returns.
Basic and diluted earnings per share for the second quarter decreased to profit of 11.84 fils compared with 39.25 fils in the same period of 2025.
The Company also achieved an operating profit of BHD 46,423 during the second quarter of 2026, compared with BHD 703,166 for the same period in 2025, representing a decrease of 93%. This decrease in profit is attributable to higher cost of sales and operating expenses.
With regard to sales, the Company generated BHD 1,691,141 during the second quarter of 2026, compared with BHD 1,752,414 for the same period in 2025, representing a decrease of 3%. This decrease was due to lower sales volumes of flour and bran products, following the surge in demand during the geopolitical conditions in the first quarter.
1st Half Financial Results:
For the First Half of 2026, BFM has reported a profit of BHD 695,036 versus BHD 676,647 profit for the same period in 2025 representing an increase of 3%.
The Company reported Basic and Diluted Earnings per share of 28 fils for the first half of 2026 versus 27.26 fils profit for the same period in 2025.
Operating profit for the first half of 2026 amounted to BHD 330,124, compared with BHD 670,991 for the first half of 2025, representing a decrease of 51%. This decrease was due to the aforementioned reasons, as well as lower subsidy returns on imported flour and bran products.
BFM generated first-half sales of BHD 3,740,683 versus BHD 3,693,169 in H1 2025 increase by 1 %.
Financial Position:
The Company’s total equity increased slightly by 0.2% to BHD 27,442,287, compared with BHD 27,392,871 as at 31 December 2025, after deducting shareholders’ dividends and the charitable donations provision.
The total assets for the period reached BHD 46,177,575 compared to BHD 40,694,535 in the year 2025, with an increase of 13%.
