Takaful International Co. appoints Mr. Yousif Al Hamar as Director – Personal Lines and Quality Control

Takaful International Company is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Yousif Al Hamar as Director of Personal Lines and Quality Control, effective November 2025. This strategic appointment reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to enhancing its operations and supporting the continued growth of its business activities.

Mr. Al Hamar previously served as Head of Takaful & Retakaful Firms Supervision at the Central Bank of Bahrain, where he played a pivotal role in enhancing regulatory oversight, developing supervisory frameworks, and supporting the sustainable growth of the Islamic insurance industry in the Kingdom of Bahrain. He also served as Secretary of the Motor Accident Claims Compensation Fund Board, overseeing governance, claims, and investment affairs.

Mr. Al Hamar holds a Master’s degree in Islamic Finance from Coventry University, UK, and possesses several professional qualifications, including the Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII) and Chartered Insurance Practitioner designation from the Chartered Insurance Institute, as well as the Level 7 Certificate in Strategic Management and Leadership P r a c t i c e (CMI Level 7) from the Chartered Management Institute.
