FCCIB holds Its Annual General Meeting and Conference Featuring Bapco Energies Group CEO Mr. Mark Thomas

The French Chamber of Commerce & Industry in Bahrain (FCCIB) held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Sunday, 12 October 2025 at the InterContinental Bahrain.
The gathering brought together FCCIB members to review the Chamber’s key achievements, highlight upcoming priorities, and reinforce connections within the French-Bahraini business community.
The session was introduced by Mr. Waleed Al Rayes, FCCIB General Secretary, alongside Mr. Jean-Christophe Durand, FCCIB President, and Mrs. Rim Jalali, FCCIB Managing Director. Together, they provided an overview of the Chamber’s mission and progress over the past year.
Mr. Durand presented the CCI France International network and FCCIB’s active role within this global alliance of French Chambers abroad, while Mrs. Jalali detailed the Activity Report, outlining milestones, events, and partnerships achieved in 2024-2025. On this occasion, FCCIB also launched its 2025 Members Directory, a comprehensive publication showcasing the Chamber’s members, available for download on the FCCIB website.
The presentation concluded with Mr. Durand sharing the financial highlights of the year. The AGM was followed by a conference featuring Mr. Mark Thomas, Group Chief Executive Officer of Bapco Energies. In his keynote address, Mark Thomas highlighted Bapco Energies’ pragmatic approach to the energy transition - focusing on broadening the global energy mix to ensure reliability, affordability, and security.
He outlined the Group’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the Kingdom of Bahrain’s energy base through its largest-ever 3D seismic survey, partnerships in gas exploration, and studies in renewables and advanced technologies.
