The National Bank of Bahrain (NBB) announced that 13 of its employees have successfully secured places in the highly competitive Harvard Executive Leadership Training programmes organised by Tamkeen.

Designed in collaboration with Harvard Business Corporate Learning and EMIC Training, the programmes are part of a pioneering initiative devised to provide a platform for Bahraini professionals to enhance their leadership acumen and adaptability in the global landscape. The project is spearheaded by His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Isa bin Salman Education Charitable Trust and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Labour Fund Tamkeen.

The participants were selected through a rigorous process that involved multiple rounds of assessments to identify outstanding candidates with the potential to drive transformation in their respective areas. With a curriculum featuring intensive training in areas such as leadership, digital transformation, collaboration, and strategic decision making, NBB employees will hone their skills to become well-rounded banking professionals capable of driving the sector’s advancement.

On this occasion, Usman Ahmed, Group Chief Executive Officer of NBB said, “As the Kingdom’s first and largest local bank, we continue to nurture and empower the Kingdom’s future leaders with world-class development and growth opportunities. We are proud to see so many of our colleagues join this global programme and wish them a rewarding learning experience.”

Additionally, Sarah Jamal, Group Chief Human Resources Officer, at NBB expressed her pride in the bank’s employees, stating: “Investing in our people is central to NBB’s growth agenda. Seeing our team members secure a place in such distinguished global programmes is a testament to their dedication and drive for excellence. We are confident that this experience will bring invaluable knowledge and leadership skills back to the workplace and will contribute to the Bank’s continued success.”
